ข้อดี

– จอใหญ่มาก ชัด ความหน่วงในการกด ลากโฟกัส แตะ เลื่อน ลื่นไหล คำว่ากระตุกเป็นศูนย์ ไม่มีอาการใดๆในการใช้งานระยะยาวที่ผ่านมา

– ไฟล์ เป็นแบบเดียวกับ Z6 III / Z5 II ไฟล์มาตรฐานสูง ปรับแต่งง่าย ใช้สนุก เบ่งได้ ขุดได้ ลดน๊อยส์ง่าย เพราะฐานมาดี

– โฟกัสเร็วถึงเร็วมาก นี่เป็นกล้องที่ใช้แทน Z8 มาเป็นเดือนๆแบบไม่ติดขัดอะไรเรื่องโฟกัสเลย 3D ได้ พอเบา ไม่เกะกะ คือจบเลย

– Picture Control จาก Log ใช้สนุก ถึงแม้จะเอาไปปรับโทนใน PS ได้ แต่พอมีติดไว้ มันก็ใช้เพลินจริงๆ เอาจริงๆจุดนี้ทำให้สนุกพอๆกับใช้ฟูจิ แม้จะยังสู้ฟิลลิ่งไม่ได้ 100% ก็ตามที แต่ก็ feel good ขึ้นมาเยอะ

ข้อเสีย

– ที่จับ (สำหรับคนที่คิดจะเอาไปใช้ภาพนิ่ง) มันจิ๋วไปหน่อย เพราะส่วนใหญ่ กล้องน่าจะถูกติดตั้งบน rig หรืออุปกรณ์เสริมอื่นๆ

– ปุ่มสำหรับทำ short cut น้อยไปหน่อย แต่ถ้าใช้ไปเรื่อยๆก็ชิน และพอปุ่มมันน้อยๆเข้า สมาธิมันไปอยู่กับรูปแทน ก็ได้ฟิลไปอีกแบบ

สรุป … ไม่ค่อยได้เอาไปถ่ายอะไรจริงๆจังๆ แต่คิดว่าถ้าจะเอางาน ก็น่าจะได้อยู่ แบบไม่ได้ตึงมือมากนัก เพราะไฟล์ดี ใช้งานได้จริง

*** เหมาะสำหรับ ***

1. คนที่ทำ VDO แนวตั้งบ่อยๆ เพราะจอใหญ่มาก ตอนพลิกถ่ายแนวตั้ง คือ สวรรค์จริงๆ ชัด ใหญ่ ง่ายไปหมด

2. คนที่จะซื้อเข้าทีมทำงาน wedding / event แบบ … ให้ช่างภาพวิดีโอ snap เผื่อให้ หรือ snap เอาไว้ insert ในวิดีโอก็เหมาะ เพราะตั้งค่า picture control แบบเดียวกับ Log ได้ สะดวกมากๆ ไม่ต้องไปลุ้นว่าภาพนิ่งจะโดดมั้ย

ในมุมภาพนิ่งมีประมาณนี้ ส่วนในมุมวิดีโอ ไม่ต้องถาม เพราะมันเก่งเรื่องวิดีโอมากกว่าภาพนิ่งซะอีก

NIKON ZR: Stills Photography Perspective

Pros

• The Display: It is massive and incredibly sharp. The touch response for focusing, dragging, and swiping is fluid—zero lag. After long-term use, it remains consistently snappy with no stuttering.
• Image Quality: It shares the same DNA as the Z6 III and Z5 II. The files meet high professional standards—highly flexible for grading, easy to “push” or “pull,” and noise reduction is a breeze because the base files are so solid.
• Autofocus Performance: Extremely fast. I’ve used this as a replacement for the Z8 for months without any AF issues. The 3D Tracking is reliable. Combined with the lightweight body, it’s a seamless experience.
• Log-based Picture Controls: This makes the shooting experience genuinely fun. Even though you can color grade in Photoshop later, having these presets in-camera is addictive. To be honest, it makes the shooting process as enjoyable as using a Fujifilm; while it doesn’t match that specific “feeling” 100%, it’s a huge step up in terms of “feel-good” factor.

Cons

• The Grip: For those focusing strictly on stills, the grip is a bit tiny. It’s clearly designed with the assumption that the camera will be mounted on a rig or other accessories.
• Limited Custom Buttons: There aren’t many shortcut buttons. However, once you get used to it, the lack of buttons actually shifts your focus more toward the composition and the image itself—giving it a unique vibe.

Summary

I haven’t used it for “serious” commercial stills yet, but I believe it can definitely handle professional work without much struggle because the file quality is truly functional and high-grade.

Best Suited For:

• Vertical Video Creators: The massive screen is “heaven” when flipped for vertical shooting. It makes everything clear, large, and effortless.
• Wedding & Event Teams: It’s perfect for videographers who need to “snap” stills for the team or for video inserts. Since you can match the Picture Control to your Log profile, the stills blend perfectly with the footage without having to worry about mismatched looks.

Final Thought: This is the perspective from a stills photographer. As for video? You don’t even need to ask—it’s even more capable in video than it is in stills.
